Reyes was named Del Rey League Co-Pitcher of the Year his senior year (1999) at California High in Whittier, Calif. ... Also played one season of football. ... Attended the University of Southern California where he earned 2001 All-NCAA Regional honors after throwing his first collegiate shutout with a three-hitter against Fresno State (5/27/01), striking out 10 and not allowing a walk in the NCAA Regional. ... Was All-Pac-10 first team in his 2002 junior year and All-Pac-10 honorable mention in 2000 and 2003. ...
