2014: Spent entire season in Chicago and posted a 3.17 ERA in 58 games with the Cubs…Retired 42 of 58 first batters faced...Stranded 32 of 39 inherited runners...Stranded three inherited runners in an outing three times, last done June 16 at Miami...Allowed just two home runs in 48.1 innings…Opponents batted .218 (22-101) against him before the All-Star break and .317 (26-82) after the break...Surrendered just three hits in 28 at-bats (.107 average) with runners in scoring position and two outs...Did not allow a run in 27 of 29 games from April 13 to July 5, including a season-best 13-outing scoreless streak (7.1 IP, 5 H, 0 BB), May 30- July 5...Left-handed batters hit .273 (21-77) off him, while righties hit .255 (27-106)… On the paternity leave list, May 27-30, for the birth of his daughter, Harlem Rose...Recorded a 0.79 ERA (1 ER, 11.1 IP) in 12 games from August 7 - September 2.
