Selected by the Cleveland Indians out of UCLA in the 5th round (No. 154 overall) of the June 2002 First-Year Player Draft...made his MLB debut on May 1, 2007...graduated from Servite High in 1999 where he was named the 1999 Golden West League MVP and was a two-time All-League selection, hitting .560 with 6 HR, 32 RBIs and 10 SB as a senior...went to school and played baseball at Cypress Junior College in 2000 and played two seasons at UCLA in 2001-02...earned All-Pac 10 honors as a sophomore (.309, 73-for-236, 20 2B, 6 HR, 42 RBIs) and led the conference in steals (20) in 2002 (.368, 56-for-152, 11 2B, 6 HR, 37 RBIs) as a junior before being drafted.
