2014: Spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Salt Lake, where he went 3-2 with three saves and a 5.33 ERA in 27 relief appearances...Allowed just one of nine inherited runners to score while with the Bees...Posted a 2.13 ERA (3 ER, 12.2 IP) in 13 home appearances with Salt Lake...Held Pacific Coast League batters to a .226 average (21-93), with right-handers batting just .208 against him (10-48)...Made three relief outings with Los Angeles, allowing three runs on three hits in 2.1 innings of work.
2013: Acquired by Los Angeles from Tampa Bay on March 27 in exchange for RHP Steve Geltz…Completed rookie campaign with a 6-1 mark, 2.86 ERA, team-best 20 holds, two saves, 65 strikeouts and 28 walks... Became first Angels rookie reliever with six wins and two saves in a season since Francisco Rodriguez in 2003...Appeared in a club-leading 75 games, breaking Bill Kelso's Angels rookie record for games pitched in a season (69 games, 1967)...His 75 appearances ranked fifth in the AL and were third-most all-time in Angels history…Only Scot Shields (78 games, 2005) and Francisco Rodriguez (76 games, 2008) appeared in more games in a single season for the Halos...First rookie in American League history to pitch 74 or more games and allow three-or-fewer home runs...Among AL rookies, ranked 2nd in games, tied-5th in wins and tied-3rd in saves, while ranking 5th among AL rookie relievers with 65 strikeouts...Tossed 17 straight scoreless outings to finish 2013 campaign...In final 26 outings (beginning August 2nd), went 2-0 with two saves, 10 holds and a 0.41 ERA (1 ER, 22.0 IP). 
2012: Spent majority of the season with Triple-A Durham but made five relief appearances for Tampa Bay across two stints with the Rays...Ranked among International League leaders in saves (3rd, 20) and games finished (4th, 36)...Among IL relievers, led the league with a .158 opponents batting average (36-228) and an 11.57 strikeout per nine innings ratio (87 strikeouts, 67.2 IP)...42 of his 54 appearances with the Bulls were scoreless...Recalled by Rays on September 5th...Was charged with two earned runs in first September appearance but had three straight scoreless outings to conclude the regular season.
2011: Recalled by Tampa Bay on July 19 and made Major League debut the following day against the Yankees at Tropicana Field...Entered the game in relief of David Price and struck out his first batter faced (Mark Teixeira)...Made six appearances during second stint with Rays, including four scoreless outings.

Originally selected by the Yankees in the 24th round of the 2002 draft...Attended Elsinore HS (Wildomar, CA) and Riverside Community College (CA)...Nearly quit baseball after first season of Independent ball and sat out entire 2006 season...Got his real estate license and began working for a real estate company in Temecula (CA) before deciding to return to pitching after three months in the business.
