2016 Highlights
Spent most of the season with Norfolk, where he hit .248 with eight doubles and 18 RBI in 76 games...Committed just two errors in 297 total chances at shortstop, a .993 fielding percentage that would have led IL shortstops if he had enough games to qualify...Did not make an error in 43 games with the Tides after July 8th, and he did not commit an error in 38 games on the road...Helped Norfolk establish a franchise mark for fielding % (.985), as the Tides four shortstops (Janish, Ozzie Martinez, Sharlon Schoop and Garabez Rosa) combined to commit just six errors all year (10 fewer than any other IL club)...Batted .311 (28-90) with eight walks and eight RBI when batting in the seventh inning or later...Had five straight multi-hit games from April 16-23, over which he hit .611 (11-18) with an RBI and two runs scored...Had his contract selected by Baltimore on May 7 and appeared in 14 games with the O's batting .194 with three walks...Did not make an error with the Orioles (0 errors in 31 total chances)...Outrighted from Baltimore to Norfolk on June 25 and spent the remainder of the season with the Tides...Had contract selected by O's on September 15 but did not appear in a game; designated for assignment, October 7.
2015: Sent the majority of the season with Norfolk, where he hit .235 with seven doubles and 21 RBI in 95 games...Led IL shortstops with .990 fielding % (4 errors in 407 TC) when he had his contract selected by Baltimore on 8/25...Committed just one error over the first four months of the season, as he did not commit his second error of the season until August 5 (Had a .997 fielding percentage over that span - one error in 332 total chances)...Batted .385 (15-39) with eight walks and seven runs scored when batting in the ninth inning or extra innings...Scored the winning run in back-to-back walkoff victories, May 8th and May 9th vs. Buffalo...Had contract selected by Baltimore on August 25th and made his Orioles debut that night at Kansas City...Hit .286 (10-35) with three doubles and three RBI in 14 games for Baltimore...Did not make an error in 14 games with Baltimore (in 54 total chances).
2014: Opted out of his contract with Colorado and signed as a free agent with Kansas City on July 4, joining Omaha...Hit .314 with two home runs and 17 RBI in 46 games with the Storm Chasers....Appeared in all 10 of Omaha's playoff games, helping the Storm Chasers capture the PCL title before defeating Pawtucket in the Triple-A Championship Game. 
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Has made postseason appearances for the Braves (2013 NLDS) and Reds (2010 NLDS)...Made his MLB debut on 5/14/08 vs. FLA and drove in the game-winning run on his first career hit, a single off Renyel Pinto...Became the first player to produce a walkoff RBI in his MLB debut since FLA's Miguel Cabrera on 6/20/03 vs. TB and the first Reds player to do so since Eric Owens on 6/6/95 vs. PIT...Became the first player to produce a game-winner with his first career hit since Reds pitcher Randy Keisler (5/24/05 vs. WSH)...On 8/9/06, he hit a grand slam vs. Indianapolis for his first career grand slam and his first Triple-A homer...Had "Tommy John" surgery on 6/8/05.
