2015 Highlights
• Split the season between Double-A Bowie (two stints) and Triple-A Norfolk (two stints), appearing in 80 games
• Between the two clubs, batted .219 with eight doubles, one home run and 24 RBI
• Appeared defensively at second base (54 games), third base (17 games), first base (5 games) & shortstop (4 games)
• Hit .304 (7-23) with two doubles and five RBI for the Baysox during the month of April
• Batted .217 with three doubles, one home run and 13 RBI in 53 games for Norfolk
• His first Triple-A home run came on July 24 vs. Durham, a solo shot off of Tampa's #1 prospect, Blake Snell
• Batted .281 (27-96) with one home run and five RBI in 30 games at Harbor Park

2014: Spent entire season with Double-A Bowie in his first season in the Orioles organization...Batted .217 with three home runs, 13 doubles and 25 RBI in 77 games...Appeared defensively at shortstop (47 games), third base (18 games) and second base (11 games)...Went 3-for-3 with two walks and a run scored in his first game of the season, April 5 vs. Harrisburg...Opened the season by hitting .750 (9-12) with two doubles, one home run and three walks over his first four games...Batted .313 (15-48) with a .411 on-base percentage in April...Hit safely in nine straight games from April 25 - May 9.
2013: Did not play, spending the entire season on the disabled list in the Kansas City organization.  
2012: Signed with Kansas City as a free agent prior to the 2012 season...Appeared in 50 games with Double-A Northwest Arkansas in the Royals system...Appeared defensively at first base (19 games), second base (14 games), third base (eight games), shortstop (six games) and right field (one game)...Tied his career-high by belting seven home runs...Posted a .378 OBP against left-handed pitching...Did not go back-to-back games without a hit from April 7 to June 17.
2011: Spent the season with Double-A Richmond in the San Francisco organization...Appeared defensively at every infield position, making most of his appearances (34 games) at shortstop...Batted .290 (20-for-69) with three home runs and 12 RBI in 25 July contests...Drove in a run in five straight contests, July 24-28, as he batted .625 (10-for-16) with a home run and seven RBI over that stretch...Collected 11 of his 12 extra-base hits against right-handed pitching. 
2010: Opened season with Double-A Richmond before being assigned to Class-A Augusta on April 26... Batted .281 in 26 games with the GreenJackets, including a .310 average against South Atlantic League left-handers...Rejoined Richmond on July 8...Ranked eighth in the Eastern League with a .330 average during August as he collected eight multi-hit games during the month...Collected six RBI on August 8 at Portland (4-for-5, home run, double).
2009: Spent year with Double-A Connecticut in the Giants system, where he was teammates with fellow O's farmhands Tim Alderson and Brock Bond...Ranked eighth in the Eastern League with a .348 average during May (24-for-69)...Made 53 appearances at third base, 32 at second base and 20 at shorstop. 
2008: Named California Player-of-the-Week, May 12-19...Tied for California League lead in most games played by a shortstop (125)...Set career high with seven home runs, all of which came against right-handed pitching...Batted .356 with RISP and two outs...Belted homers in back-to-back games, May 17-18, including a grand slam on May 17 at Stockton. 
PERSONAL: Sharlon Romans Emederio Schoop was signed to a minor league contract by Baltimore on 11/21/13, and was re-signed as a minor league free agent on 1/26/15...Originally signed by the San Francisco Giants as a non-drafted free agent on 3/30/05...Participated in the 2009 World Baseball Classic with The Netherlands, helping the Dutch defeat the Dominican Republic twice en route to a 7th place finish in the competition...Was a member of the 2011 Netherlands Baseball World Cup roster...Is the older brother of Orioles infielder Jonathan Schoop.
