2014: Limited to 13 appearances with Norfolk due to right shoulder tendinitis...Was placed on the disabled list on April 15 with right shoulder inflammation and was activated to Norfolk's roster on May 3...Was placed on the DL with right shoulder inflammation again on May 14 and remained on the disabled list until he was activated on July 23...Tossed 5.0 innings in just one of his 13 starts...His 13 starts gave him 52 in a Norfolk uniform, the 2nd-most among Norfolk pitchers since the Tides became an Orioles affiliate in 2007 (Chris Tillman, 69)...Finished with 32 strikeouts, giving him 233 career K's in a Norfolk uniform, the 3rd-most since the Tides became an O's affiliate in 2007 (behind Chris Tillman, 339 and Jake Arrieta, 234)... Underwent surgery on September 24 to remove a bone spur behind his right shoulder. 
2013: Split the season between Norfolk and Baltimore, making four stints with the Orioles... Opened the year on the disabled list with a right lat strain...Joined the Tides on April 24 on a rehab assignment and made two starts before being activated from the DL and optioned to Norfolk on April 30...Made four appearances with the O's before being placed on the DL June 6 with a left oblique strain...In six outings with Norfolk in August/September, went 1-1 with a 3.08 ERA (9 ER, 26.1 IP) with 28 strikeouts...Struck out a season-high 10 in his final start with Norfolk, September 1 vs. Durham...Made three relief outings with Baltimore in September, holding opposing batters to a .111 average (1-for-9). 
2012: Split season between Norfolk and Baltimore...Posted a 2.86 ERA in 19 games (14 starts) with the Tides while holding International League batters to a .202 average...Tossed his first career complete game on May 14 at Indianapolis...Had his contract selected by Baltimore on June 3 and was optioned back to Norfolk that day... Recalled to Baltimore on July 2 but did not appear in a game before being optioned back to Norfolk on July 4...Made MLB debut on July 15 vs. Detroit, allowing one run over 2.0 innings...Joined his father, Dave, as the sixth father-son pair to play for the O's, joining Bob & Terry Kennedy, Don & Damon Buford, John O'Donoghue Sr. & John O'Donoghue Jr., Dave & Derrick May and Tim Raines Sr. & Tim Raines Jr...Struck out nine batters in his first MLB start, August 8 vs. Seattle; 23 years to the day his father made his first career start in Baltimore & earned the win.
