Signed by the Florida Marlins as a non-drafted free agent on May 25, 2005... Arquimedes (ar-keh-mee-deez) Euclides Caminero... married to Lisenia and the couple has two daughters, Ashley and Emely... in 2013, made 42 appearances with Double-A Jacksonville before making Major League debut with Miami on August 16 vs. San Francisco (1.0 IP, HB, SO). Posted 5-2 record with five saves in seven opportunities and 3.61 ERA (52.1 IP/21 ER) with Jacksonville. His five wins were tied for third-most on team with Michael Brady. Led Suns relievers with 68 strikeouts, compared to 21 walks. Allowed 14 runs (13 earned) over first eight appearances (10.32 ERA). Settled down and allowed just nine runs (eight earned) in 41.0 innings over final 34 appearances (1.76 ERA). Recorded a season-high 2.0 innings pitched 12 times, first on April 8 vs. Jackson. Tallied 21 multi-strikeout games, with two season-best five strikeout efforts. First came on April 15 at Pensacola, followed by the second on June 13 vs. Montgomery. Earned promotion to Miami on August 16, making his debut that night. Appeared in four games with Marlins before being optioned to Triple-A New Orleans. Allowed just one run in first stint with Miami. Made one appearance with Zephyrs following option on August 28, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings on August 31 vs. Albuquerque. Recalled again on September 3 and made nine appearances to finish season. Allowed three runs in first two appearances following recall, then made seven consecutive scoreless appearances (6.2 IP). Appeared in four games with Toros del Este in Dominican Winter League, compiling a 0-0 record and 8.10 ERA (3.1/3).
