Signed with the Houston Astros to a minor league contract and was invited to spring training on February 2…Played for Colombia in the World Baseball Classic, threw 2.0 shutout innings with a save and 4 K…Started with Fresno, going 1-0 with a 2.19 ERA (12.1 IP, 3 ER) with 15 K to 3 BB in nine appearances before being having his contract selected by Houston on May 5…Played in three stints with Houston (May 14, June 7 - 23, July 1 - 7), totaling a 1-1 record in 10 games…His first career MLB win came on July 1 vs. New York (AL) after throwing a shutout inning in the 8th inning…Made 35 total appearances with Fresno, going 4-3 with 52 K to 18 BB in 48.0 IP…Designated for assignment by Cincinnati on Aug. 31 and was claimed off waivers by Los Angeles (AL) on Sept. 4.
