Selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the fifth round (145th overall) of the June 2006 First-Year Player Draft out of Tuttle High School (Tuttle, Okla.) ... played 23 games at shortstop, 10 games at third base and 9 games at second base for Rookie-league Bluefield in 2006 ... in 2007, led short-season Aberdeen in at-bats, hits, total bases, doubles and extra-base hits ... represented the IronBirds in the NYPL All-Star Game ... spent 2008 with Class A Delmarva and finished second on the team in games played (127), stolen bases (20) and RBIs (62) and third in runs scored (71) ... in 2009, finished second on the Class A Advanced Frederick Keys in games played (125) and RBIs (71) ... named to the Eastern League All-Star Team with Double-A Bowie in 2010 ... named the Orioles Organizational Hitter of the Month for June, when he hit .350 in 27 games with nine doubles, four home runs and 13 RBIs ... finished fifth in the Eastern League with 37 doubles in 2010.
