Selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 12th round (360th overall) of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft out of North Carolina State ... made his professional debut with Auburn of the New York-Penn League in 2006, playing in 73 games ... walked 82 times for Class A Lansing in 2007, posting a .406 on-base percentage to lead the Midwest League ... began 2008 with Class A Advanced Dunedin and made his debut at Double-A on May 18, walking 43 times in 165 at-bats with New Hampshire ... reached Triple-A for the first time in 2009 with Las Vegas, where he began 0-for-20 before registering an RBI single ... batted a combined .195 with nine doubles, one home run, yet collected 48 walks ... in 2010, appeared in 51 games at shortstop, 45 at second base and one at third base for New Hampshire as well as 28 games at shortstop for Las Vegas.
