2016 Highlights
Attended spring training with Washington, but was released in Spring Training...Signed with the Lancaster Barnstormers of the Independent Atlantic League on May 10 and hit .299 with two homers and nine RBI in 17 games before being signed by Minnesota to a minor league deal on June 1...Joined Triple-A Rochester on June 3 and hit .264 with four home runs and 19 RBI in 64 games for the Red Wings...Hit safely in his first 10 games with Rochester, batting .366 (15-41) with two home runs and seven RBI...Had his contract selected by Minnesota on August 29 and appeared in 26 games for the Twins, hitting .238/.342/.317.
2015: Made Milwaukee's Opening Day roster...Appeared in 69 games for Milwaukee, including 25 starts in center field...Started 11 of the team's last 15 games of the season...Produced the go-ahead RBI-single in the 13th inning on 9/10 at Pittsburgh (W, 6-4)...His lone home run came 9/19 versus Cincinnati (Josh Smith).
2014: Had four stints with the Brewers, including making the Opening Day Roster for the second straight year...Was on the 15-day disabled list from 4/20-5/2 with a strained right hamstring...Produced a game-winning RBI-double in the 11th inning on 4/5 at Boston and a game-winning sacrifice fly in the ninth inning on 9/20 at Pittsburgh.

2012: Entered the year as the No. 6 prospect in Milwaukee's organization according to Baseball America and was rated as the "Best Defensive Outfielder" in the organization for the second straight year...Spent most of the season at Triple-A Nashville, where he hit .278 with 11 homers, 40 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 124 games...Led the team in runs (72), triples (9) and total bases (203)...Hit .304 in 16 games with the Brewers, making three starts (all in CF).
2011: Hit .315 with 22 doubles, six triples, five homers, 43 RBI, 39 walks, 16 stolen bases and 66 runs scored in 99 games between Single-A Brevard County, Double-A Huntsville and Triple-A Nashville...Was second among Brewers Minor Leaguers in batting (.315)...Made his Major League debut on 9/2 at Houston, entered the game as a pinch-runner and scored on a wild pitch...Recorded a pinch-hit single off Francisco Cordero for his first big league hit on 9/18 at Cincinnati.
2010: Was limited to just seven games at Single-A Brevard County...Missed the first two months of the season with a left groin strain and the rest of the season with a fractured right foot.
2009: Was named Brewers Minor League Player of the Year...Was the Florida State League batting champion (.313) and ranked among the league leaders in hits (2nd, 143), runs (2nd, 76) and doubles (3rd, 31)...Was a Florida State League midseason and postseason All-Star.
PERSONAL: Logan Edward Schafer was signed by Baltimore as a minor league free agent on 12/1/16...Originally selected by Milwaukee in the 3rd round of the 2008 draft...Selected by Boston in the 31st round of the 2006 draft and by Colorado in the 47th round of the 2007 draft but did not sign...Graduated from Los Gatos (CA) High School before attending Cuesta (CA) College in 2006...Played two seasons at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo State University, where he earned Second Team All-Big West honors in 2007 and First Team All-Big West honors in 2008...His younger brother, Justin, was an infielder in the New York Mets system from 2010-2011.
