2017 Highlights

Started the season on the disabled list and started a rehab assignment with GCL Blue Jays on July 5…Promoted to Dunedin on July 16 and made two appearances before being promoted to Buffalo on July 21…Made four relief appearances with Buffalo before having his contract selected by the Toronto on August 5th…Made his Major League debut on August 9 vs. New York (AL), striking out Aaron Judge for his first career punchout. He also broke his right fifth toe on a comebacker from Didi Gregorius and was placed on the disabled list for the remainder of the season.

2016: Started the season on the disabled list, made season debut with Dunedin on June 3…After three starts with Dunedin, he was promoted to New Hampshire for the remainder of the season…Placed on the disabled list from August 14 - September 2 and played two more games afterwards…Went 3-2 in 7 games at home in New Hampshire, allowing a 3.08 ERA (38.0 IP, 13 ER).

2015: Spent entire season with New Hampshire…Pitched his first career complete game shutout in a win on July 4 vs. New Britain, allowing seven hits and one walk while striking out nine…In his final seven starts, he went 2-1 and allowed a 2.66 ERA (47.1 IP, 14 ER) with an opponent's batting average of .229.

2014: Spent most of the season with Dunedin, except for a short stint with New Hampshire from August 1 - 13 where he appeared in two games…In his first 12 games, he went 4-2 with a 2.12 ERA (72.1 IP, 17 ER) and 88 K to 14 BB…Went 2-1 in four starts in July, allowing a 1.64 ERA (22.0 IP, 4 ER) with 36 K to 7 BB…Named Mid-Season and Post-Season Florida State League All-Star…Ranked among Florida State League leaders in strikeouts (first, 171), WHIP (fourth, 1.16) and ERA (fifth, 3.07).

2013: Opened the season with a win at Lake County on April 5, going 6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 7 K…In his final 10 games with Lansing, he went 3-5 with a 3.27 ERA (52.1 IP, 19 ER) and 45 K…Promoted to Dunedin on August 28 and was placed on the disabled list for the remainder of the season after one start.

2012: Spent entire season with Vancouver, making 12 appearances (11 starts)…Ranked among Northwest League leaders in ERA (first, 0.81), WHIP (first, 0.80) and wins (tied-for-sixth, 6)…Named Topps Player of the Year (Northwest League) and Short-Season/Rookie All-Star…Without his start at Tri-City on August 10 (W, 6.0 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 7 K), he was 5-0 with a 0.30 ERA (60.1 IP, 2 ER) and 50 K to 15 BB, allowing an opponent's average of .144 (29-for-202).

PERSONAL: Full name is Taylor James Cole…Originally drafted in the 26th round of the 2007 MLB Amateur Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers and was then drafted again in the 31st round of the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks…Spent his first college season at the College of Southern Nevada (JUCO), then spent two years on an LDS Church Mission in Toronto before returning to baseball at Brigham Young University in 2011…Attended Bishop Gorman HS (Las Vegas, NV).
