2014: Split time at Double-A Erie and Triple-A Toledo before his promotion to the majors...Posted a 2-0 record with a 2.59 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 21 games with Toledo, while he posted a 1-0 record with a 3.95 ERA and nine strikeouts in nine games with Erie...Did not allow a run in 10 of his 14 outings with the Tigers, including throwing six straight scoreless appearances to end the season...Had his contract purchased from Toledo prior to the game on 6/22 and made his major league debut the same day at Cleveland, throwing a shutout inning with one hit and one strikeout...Placed on the 15-day disabled list with a pulled right hamstring on 7/6...Began an injury rehabilitation assignment with Toledo on 7/21 -- pitched in four games and had a 6.75 ERA (5.1IP/4ER) with six hits allowed and four strikeouts before he was activated from the disabled list on 8/1...Optioned to Toledo by the Tigers on 8/11... 2009: Combined to go 2-5 with a 5.60 ERA in 26 games (five starts) starts for Potomac and Single-A Hagerstown...Was named South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for the period ending June 15...Went 2-0 and tossed 11.1 scoreless innings, walking none and fanning 10 in the two starts to earn the award. 
2008: In first complete pro campaign, with Vermont of the Short-season Single-A New York-Penn League, pitched exclusively in a starting role for the only time in career...made 13 starts.
2007: Debuted professionally, posting a 3.81 ER in 10 games (five starts), with the Nationals' Rookie-level Gulf Coast League entry. 
PERSONAL: Patrick James McCoy was claimed by Baltimore off of waivers from Detroit on 10/31/14... Outrighted to Norfolk from Baltimore on 12/8/14...Originally selected by Washington in the 10th round of the 2007 draft...Graduated from Sahuaro (AZ) High School...Before signing with the Nationals, had signed to attend New Mexico Junior College.
