Selected by the Florida Marlins in the 2nd round of the June 2007 First-Year Player Draft... made his Major League debut with Florida on June 8, 2010, making the jump from Double-A to the Majors... Stanton and the Marlins agreed to a 13-year, $325 million deal in November 2014 that is the largest contract in North American sports history in terms of dollar amount... graduated from Notre Dame HS (California) in 2007... earned All-Southern Section honors in football, basketball and baseball in his senior season... was named 2007 Cal-Hi Sports Boys State Athlete of the Year...
