2016 Highlights
Split the year between New York and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in the Yankees system...Opened with Scranton and went 2-2 with a 2.57 ERA in six games (five GS) before having his contract selected, May 26...Made MLB debut on May 30 at Toronto, retiring both batters he faced...Did not allow a run over his first four MLB appearances (3.2 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 K)...21 of his 23 appearances with New York were scoreless, including each of his last 13 outings...Tossed an MLB career-high 4.0 innings of relief on September 12 vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers (4.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K)...Held MLB left-handers to a .150 average (6-40) with two walks, 12 strikeouts and a .209 on-base percentage...Optioned to Scranton/WB on August 9 and appeared in six more games (five starts) with the RailRiders...Recalled to New York on September 9 and finished the season with the Yankees.

2014: Joined Toronto after being selected in the minor league phase of the 2013 Rule 5 Draft...Spent most of the season with Double-A New Hampshire, where he posted a 3.93 ERA in 34 games (five starts)...Made one relief appearance with Triple-A Buffalo, throwing 2.0 IP (4/10)...His first win came at New Britain (4/23), throwing 4.0 innings of relief...Combining August and September (9 games, 12.0 IP) he went 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA...Appeared in seven games (four starts) for Estrellas de Oriente of the Dominican Winter League, posting a 5.23 ERA.

2012: Spent full season with Frisco, residing on the disabled list for nearly the entire first half of the campaign…Was on the DL from 4/5-6/19 with left elbow sprain…Compiled a 1.84 ERA (3 ER, 14.2 IP) in last 12 outings…Tossed 1.0 shutout inning over two games for Team Israel in the World Baseball Classic qualifier in September.
2011: Spent the entire season with Frisco…Opened the campaign on the DL, recovering from a wrist fracture…Activated from the DL 5/2 and joined the RoughRiders…Was 4-2 with a 2.91 ERA over 19 relief appearances...Named Texas League Pitcher of the Week on June 6 after tossing 7.0 scoreless innings at Tulsa on June 5. 
2010: Spent the entire campaign with Frisco, leading the club in innings, games started, complete games, and shutouts… Tied for the Texas League lead in complete games and was lone pitcher on the circuit with multiple complete game shutouts...Earned Texas League Pitcher of the Week honors for May 3-9.
PERSONAL: Richard Sidney Bleir was acquired by the Orioles in a trade with the New York Yankees in exchange for a player to be named later, 2/21/17...Originally selected by Texas in the 6th round of the 2008 draft out of Florida Gulf Coast University...During his junior year at FGCU, he was a unanimous selection as the Atlantic Sun Pitcher of the Year after ranking among conference leaders in ERA (1st, 2.09), wins (T-1st, 7), IP (3rd, 90.1), CG (1st, 4), and strikeouts (4th, 76)…Was the highest draft choice in the history of Florida Gulf Coast University at the time of his selection...Attended South Plantation High School in Plantation, FL and is the first player to make the major leagues from that high school.
