2017: Began the season in the Yankees organization with Triple-A Scranton/WB... Had a 5.40 ERA (4 ER, 16.2 IP) with 20 strikeouts for Scranton/WB before being released on 6/2... Signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels on 6/5 and was assigned to Triple-A Salt Lake... Was 3-1 with a 2.12 ERA (8 ER, 34.0 IP), 11 walks and 36 strikeouts in 30 relief outings for Salt Lake Had his contract selected by Los Angeles on 9/1 and appeared in three games with the Angels

Made two starts for Norfolk, combining to go 0-2 with a 9.45 ERA (7 ER, 6.2 IP) and six strikeouts... Signed with Colorado as a minor league free agent on 12/16.
2013: Spent entire campaign with Double-A Bowie where he posted a 2.95 ERA in 39.2 innings of relief... Tied a career-high with 46 strikeouts...Did not allow a run in 20.1 innings from April 12 - May 17, as he allowed just eight hits and six walks over that span while striking out 27...Registered saves in four straight appearances, May 2-17, all of which were multiple inning appearances...Named to the Eastern League Midseason All-Star team...Held opposing left-handers to a .188 average (9-48) with just one extra-base hit... Pitched in 11 games for Surprise in the Arizona Fall League, going 2-0 with a 3.38 ERA (5 ER, 13.1 IP).
2012: Began the season with Class-A Frederick and did not allow a run in his first four appearances, totaling 7.2 innings… Led Frederick in WHIP (0.93)...Struck out a batter in all but one of his 20 appearances with the Keys, including a season-high five-strikeout performance on May 31 at Winston-Salem in his only start for Frederick...Sixteen of his 20 appearances for the Keys lasted at least 2.0 innings...First appeared for Double-A Bowie on July 13 at Reading...Struck out at least three in six of his 12 appearances with the Baysox...Went 1-1 with one save and a 1.42 ERA (2 ER, 12.2 IP) on the road for Bowie...Held left-handed hitters to a .150 (3-for-20) batting average with the Baysox.
2011: Pitched to a 2.52 ERA in 13 games with Class-A Delmarva...Struck out 10 batters in first appearance of the year over 3.2 innings of work on April 9 vs. Greensboro...Did not allow an earned run in final five appearances...Transferred to Frederick on June 2...Struck out 11 batters in final four games of the season.
2010: Earned his first professional win July 5 against Lowell when he pitched 3.0 innings of relief and struck out five… Pitched to a 2.08 ERA in nine appearances in July.
2009: Did not pitch as he was recovering from labrum surgery.
2008: Struck out the side in first professional appearance on June 23 against Elizabethton.
PERSONAL: Jason Isidore Gurka was selected by Baltimore in the 15th round of the 2008 First Year Player Draft out of Angelina Junior College (TX)...Graduated in 2006 from Brenham High School (TX), where he tossed a perfect game with 14 strikeouts as a senior.
