Selected by the Diamondbacks in the first round (third overall) of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft out of UCLA. ... Won the Golden Spikes Award, was named Collegiate Baseball's National Player of the Year and Pac-10 Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2011.
