2014: Split the season between Double-A Bowie and Norfolk, combining to hit .263 with six home runs and 29 RBI in 61 games...Spent the majority of the season in Bowie before two stints in Norfolk (July 12-24 and August 29 - end of season)...Over his final 12 games with Bowie, hit .410 (16-39) with two home runs and five RBI...Hit safely in five of eight games with Norfolk...Belted first home run in a Tides uniform on the final day of the season, a solo shot at Durham on September 1...Caught 25.6% of attempted basestealers at Bowie (12 of 47) and 50% of attempted basestealers at Norfolk (3 of 6). 
2013: Split time between Double-A Midland and Triple-A Sacramento within the Oakland organization... Between the two leagues, combined to hit .231 (74-for-321) with 10 home runs, 30 RBI and 21 walks... Opened the year in Sacramento and appeared in two games before joining Midland on April 12...Homered four times over a three-game series in Tulsa, May 22-24; that stretch included a two-homer game on May 23...Promoted back to Sacramento on July 26 and spent the remainder of the season with the River Cats...Hit lone home run for Sacramento in his first game back with the club, July 26 at Las Vegas... 2012: Spent most of the season with Class-A Potomac in the Washington organization where he batted .271 with five home runs and 46 RBI in 78 games…Traded to Oakland in August in exchange for catcher Kurt Suzuki and was assigned to Double-A Midland...Hit .333 with two home runs and 11 RBI in 20 games with the RockHounds for a .283 average in 98 games overall...Was named to the Carolina League Midseason All-Star team...Appeared in 93 games at catcher and one at first base.
2011: Batted .288 with 13 home runs and 73 RBI in 123 games with Single-A Hagerstown in his first full professional season...Led the South Atlantic League in walks (82) and ranked second in on-base percentage (.409)…Was a South Atlantic League Midseason All-Star...Threw out 39 of 154 (25.3%) attempted base stealers...Belted a grand slam and had a season-high five RBI May 5 against Lexington, beginning a streak of eight consecutive games with an RBI (15 RBI over that stretch).

PERSONAL: David Freitas was acquired by Baltimore from Oakland on December 12, 2013, along with IF Jemile Weeks, in exchange for RHP Jim Johnson...Originally drafted by Washington in the 15th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft but was dealt to Oakland in a trade for catcher Kurt Suzuki, 8/3/12...Graduated from Elk Grove (CA) High School in 2007, where he led his team to section championships from 2005-07...Attended Cosumnes River College (Sacramento, CA) where he was a Junior College All-American at catcher...Transferred to the University of Hawaii in 2010, where he was a teammate of current Cardinals infielder Kolten Wong.
