2017: Spent the majority of the season with Baltimore, where he hit .241 with four home runs and 19 RBI in 111 games... With Baltimore, hit .280 (21-80) with six doubles, two home runs and six RBI in when hitting from the nine hole... Ranked 2nd on the Orioles with eight stolen bases in nine attempts, trailing Manny Machado's nine steals... Set a career-high with four hits and tied a career-high with three runs scored, 8/6 against Detroit... Hit his second career MLB leadoff home run, 5/6 vs. Washington; it was the first leadoff home run for the O's in 2017... 2013: Played all 127 games season with Class-A Bowling Green, hitting .270 (122-452) with 29 doubles, eight home runs, 63 RBI and 30 stolen bases…Ranked 4th in the Midwest League with 78 walks and tied for the team lead with 79 runs...His 30 stolen bases was tied for 4th among Rays minor leaguers…Had a career high 11-game hitting streak from 6/16-6/30,  
PERSONAL: Joseph Mark Rickard was selected by Baltimore from Tampa Bay in the Major League portion of the Rule 5 draft on 12/10/15...Originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 9th round of the 2012 draft...Attended the University of Arizona, where he majored in sociology with a thematic minor...Was teammates with fellow Orioles minor leaguers Lucas Long and Konner Wade while at Arizona...Played three seasons for the Wildcats and was named 1st Team All-Pac 12 as a junior... Played at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, NV, where he was a part of four consecutive state championship teams...Was named First Team-All-State as a sophomore, junior and senior and was a Louisville Slugger All-American during his senior year of high school...His brother, John, was drafted by the Angels in 2008 and played two seasons in the Los Angeles system.
