Was ranked the Red Sox's No. 9 prospect by MLB.com entering the 2012 season. ... Ranked second in the Carolina League in runs scored and eighth in batting in 2011. ... He spent most of the 2010 season with short-season Lowell, leading the team in slugging percentage and OPS while finishing second in batting, on-base percentage, runs scored, triples, walks and stolen bases. ...
