2015 Highlights
• Went 2-2 with a 3.50 ERA in nine games (five starts) for Baltimore in his first action at the major league level
• Made his MLB debut on 5/20 vs. Seattle - first batter faced was former UVA teammate Chris Taylor (pop up to short)
• Earned his first MLB win and registered first strikeout (Ichiro Suzuki) on May 22 at Miami (1.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 K)

2012: Struck out 143 between Single-A Delmarva and Single-A Frederick to lead all Orioles farmhands...Tied for Shorebirds team lead in wins (7) and led club in strikeouts (114), starts (19) and innings pitched (111.0)…Worked seven innings or more in seven of his 19 starts and struck out 10 or more four times…Did not walk a batter in nine of 19 starts…In his last three starts he struck out 32 batters without a walk in 22 innings pitched.
PERSONAL: Philip Tyler Wilson was selected by Baltimore in the 10th round of the 2011 draft out of the University of Virginia...Drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 35th round of the 2010 draft but did not sign...Finished his career at UVA ranked among school leaders in wins (T-2nd, 27), appearances (4th, 91), strikeouts (4th, 267) and innings pitched (10th, 249.1)...Was a Biology major at UVA...Attended Midlothian High School in Midlothian, VA...His father, Philip Wilson, played in the San Diego Padres system from 1979-1981, reaching Class-A Salem in 1981...Was married to his wife, Chelsea, on 11/15/14; Chelsea, who played basketball at the University of Virginia, holds the record for most games played in UVA history (men or women) and she scored over 1,000 points and grabbed over 500 rebounds in her college career...His younger brother, Riley, was a member of the 2015 College World Series champions at the University of Virginia.
