Was named first-team All-West Coast Conference in 2011 and to the WCC All-Freshman team in 2009. ... Helped lead Grossmont (Calif.) High School to three Grossmont North League championships and four CIF Division II championships. As a senior, he hit .306 with nine homers and 30 RBIs en route to earning first-team All-Grossmont North and second-team All-CIF honors. ...
