2016: Played in 47 games for Triple-A Pawtucket (34 at 1B, 13 at DH) before suffering a season-ending knee injury on 5/29. Following the season, ranked by Baseball America as the Red Sox' No. 6 prospect. Earned his 1st invitation to Major League Spring Training camp as a non-roster player and led the Red Sox with 13 RBI in 18 Grapefruit League games , hitting .469 (15-for -32) with 2 2B , 2 HR, and 4 runs scored. Hit .272 (47-for-173) and ranked among PawSox leaders with 6 HR (4th) and 29 RBI (T-5th). Was 17-for-44 (.386) with RISP (5 2B , 4 HR, 25 RBI). Was named Red Sox Minor League Base Runner of the Month in April. Hit .289 (24-for-83) with 12 R, 6 2B, 2 HR, and 14 RBI during the month. Recorded 4 straight multi-hit games from 4/17-20, batting .588 (10-for-17) with 5 runs , 2 2B, and 5 RBI. Recorded his only career multi-HR game on 5/15 vs . Gwinnett, driving in a career -high 5 R (2-for -3, 2 BB, 3 R). Removed from the game on 5/29 vs. Indianapolis after injuring his left knee in a rundown play. Diagnosed on 5/30 with a torn left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and missed the remainder of the season. At the time of his injury, his 29 RBI were the 7th-most in the International League. Of the 16 contests in which he collected an RBI, 8 were multi-RBI games.

2015: Named Red Sox Minor League Offensive Player of the Year. Combined to hit .307 (150-for-489) with a .381 OBP and .452 SLG in 131 games between High-A Salem and Double-A Portland. Led the Red Sox system in AVG, hits (150), RBI (78), total bases (221), and BB (59). Tabbed Portland's MVP. Earned Carolina League mid-season All-Star honors. Recorded a .995 fielding percentage in 109 combined games at 1B (5 E/1,017 TC). Posted a .325/.416/.553 line against LHP (37-for-114, 13 2B, 2 3B, 3 HR) and a .301/.370/.421 line vs. RHP (113-for-375, 19 2B, 4 3B, 6 HR). Hit .376 (50-for-133) and slugged .534 with RISP, posting a .422 AVG (19-for-45) with RISP and 2 outs.
Led Salem in AVG (.313), SLG (.467), and OPS (.845). Named Carolina League Player of the Week for 4/27-5/3 (.542, 13-for-24, 4 2B, 7 RBI). Named Red Sox Minor League Hitter of the Month for June, playing in 18 games with Salem before transferring to Portland on 6/25. Reached base in each of those 18 games with Salem, posting a .406/.474/.638 line (28-for-69, 5 2B, 3B, 3 HR, 9 BB, 15 R, 14 RBI). Started at 1B and went 2-for-4 in the California League-Carolina League All-Star Game on 6/23. Reached base in 59 of his 65 games with the Sea Dogs, drawing 33 BB against only 34 SO. 2014: Combined with Short-A Lowell and Single-A Greenville to hit .316 (86-for-272) with a .351
OBP and .467 SLG in his pro debut. Hit a combined .416 (32-for-77) against LHP, .393 (55-for-140) with runners on, and .415 (34-for-82) with RISP. Began the season with Lowell, leading the Spinners in AVG (.333) and hitting .500 (26-for-52) with RISP. Went 5-for-30 (.167) in his first 8 games, but hit .370 (50-for-135) with a .504 SLG in his final 32 appearances with Lowell. Hit safely in 16 of his final 17 games with the Spinners, batting .370 (17-for-46) during a 10-game hitting streak from 7/14-24 and .667 (12-for-18) in his final 4 games with the club. Transferred to Greenville on 8/1 and went 11-for-23 (.478) in his first 6 games with the Drive. Between the 2 clubs, reached safely via hit, BB, or HBP in 30 consecutive games from 7/6-8/7, recording a .384 AVG, .425 OBP, and .512 SLG in that time. Hit safely in 22 of the last 23 games in that stretch from 7/14-8/7, leading all minor leaguers in hits (tied, 42) and ranking 6th in AVG (.433, 42-for-97) in that span. Following the season, ranked by Baseball America as the 12th-best prospect in the Sox organization and the 15th-best prospect in the New York-Penn League.


Selected by the Boston Red Sox in the second round (No. 67 overall) of the 2014 MLB Draft out of Indiana University... signed with the Red Sox on June 16, 2014... was ranked as the No. 63 overall prospect in the Draft... batted .319 with 9 HR and 50 RBIs in 2012 en route to being named Big Ten Freshman of the Year... in 2013 was named MVP of the Big Ten tournament and the NCAA Bloomington regional... hit .347 with 12 HR, 16 2B, 2 3B, 58 RBIs, 55 R and a .415 OBP in 2014 and was named Big Ten Player of the Year.
