2019
♦ Spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Rochester, where he went 8-6 with a 5.14 ERA in 20 games (19 starts). Also appeared in nine games (two starts) over seven stints with Minnesota, going 2-2 with a 6.39 ERA. 
♦ Ranked among Twins minor leaguers in wins (T-3rd, 8) and games started (T-9th, 19). 
♦ Allowed three earned runs or less in 15 of his 20 appearances with Rochester, including three starts in which he did not allow an earned run. 
♦ Went 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA over four games (three starts) for Rochester in May.
♦ Held International League right-handers to a .223 average (48-215) with 55 strikeouts. 
♦ Got the start for Rochester on Opening Day, earning the win after striking out a season-high eight over 5.0 innings of work on 4/4 at Lehigh Valley. 
♦ Made first season start with Minnesota on 4/24 in his hometown of Houston, going 6.0 innings and throwing a career high 105 pitches in the contest.

2018
♦ Split the year between Double-A Chattanooga (14 starts), Triple-A Rochester (seven games, five starts) and Minnesota (eight games, four starts). 
♦ His 101 strikeouts ranked 6th among Twins minor leaguers. 
♦ Opened the year at Chattanooga, where he went 3-4 with a 4.76 ERA. 
♦ Named Twins Minor League Pitcher of the Week twice: 4/8 - 4/14 and 7/14 - 7/21.  
♦ Joined Rochester on 7/1 and went 0-3 with a 3.98 ERA in seven outings for the Red Wings. 
♦ Had contract selected on 8/12 and made Major League debut that night at Detroit. Struck out C Grayson Greiner that night for first big league punchout. 
♦ Earned first MLB win on 9/11 vs. the New York Yankees, throwing 3.1 innings in relief.
♦ Went 2-0 with a 1.33 ERA (3 ER, 20.1 IP) over four outings for Minnesota in September.
♦ Limited big league hitters to a .179 average (5-28) with runners in scoring position. 


2017
♦ Spent majority of the season with Chattanooga, where he went 5-6 with a 4.09 ERA over 16 starts. Also made one spot start for Triple-A Rochester. 
♦ Had two stints on the DL with left knee tendinitis, 5/8 - 6/29 and 8/22 - end of season.
♦ Ranked among Chattanooga team leaders in starts (T-3rd, 16) and wins (T-4th, 5). 
♦ Allowed three earned runs or less in 11 of his 16 starts with the Lookouts. 
♦ Went 4-1 with a 3.27 ERA in six starts in July. Struck out 25 batters over 33.0 innings while holding Southern League opponents to a .224 average. 
♦ Went 4-2 despite a 5.50 ERA in his road starts, but was 1-4 at home despite a 2.95 ERA.
♦ Earned a win in his Triple-A debut, 8/18 at Louisville. 


2016
♦ Combined to go 12-8 with a 2.88 ERA in 25 starts between Fort Myers and Chattanooga. 
♦ Named a Florida State League Midseason All-Star. Went 3-2 with a 2.61 ERA and 44 strikeouts in nine starts with the Miracle during the first half. 
♦ Finished the season going 8-4 with a 2.58 ERA in 12 starts after the All-Star break.
♦ Tied a career-high with 8.0 innings on 8/19 vs Montgomery.
♦ Ended the season ranked as the # 7 Twins prospect according to Baseball America.


2015
♦ Ranked 8th in the Florida State League with a 3.20 ERA. 
♦ Led Fort Myers with 129.1 innings pitched. 
♦ Ranked by Baseball America as the #8 prospect in the Twins system after the season. 


2014
♦ Named a Midseason All-Star with Class-A Cedar Rapids. 
♦ Ranked as the #36 overall prospect in baseball by MLB.com and as the Top Pitching Prospect in the Midwest League. Also ranked as the #4 prospect in the Twins organization. 

 

PERSONAL
♦ Signed by Baltimore as a major league free agent on 12/29/19.
♦ Originally selected by Minnesota in the 1st round (4th overall) of the 2013 draft. The only players chosen ahead of him were RHP Mark Appel (Astros), IF Kris Bryant (Cubs) and RHP Jon Gray (Rockies). 
♦ Attended St. Pius X High School in Houston, where he was named the Gatorade Texas High School Player of the Year during his senior season. Also played football, and was recruited to be a two-sport athlete (pitcher and quarterback) at Texas A&M. 
♦ Other notable alumni from St. Pius X High School include former NFL quarterback and head coach Gary Kubiak and current Angels pitcher Justin Anderson (Stewart and Anderson were teammates in high school).
