Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 18th round, No. 528 overall, of the 2013 MLB Draft out of Seton Hall... was selected by the Cubs on June 8, his 22nd birthday... graduated from Nutley High School in Nutley, New Jersey in 2009... played baseball for three seaons in high school and left as Nutley's all-time leader in hits (113) and slugging (1.169)... hit .294 over four college seasons at Seton Hall... as a senior, he led the team in average, at bats (233), hits, doubles, RBIs, stolen bases, total bases (129) and slugging percentage... in 2013, he was named the NJCBA Player of the Year and made the First Team All-Big East and the Third Team All-America... named the Worrall Community Player of the Year... helped lead his HS team to the League Championship as well as the State Sectional Semi-Finals senior year... made his Minor League debut in 2013 with the Rookie-level Arizona League Cubs.
