♦ Combined to go 9-6 with a 3.72 ERA in 21 starts between Class-A Frederick, Double-A Bowie and Norfolk. 15 of his 21 appearances came with Bowie. 
♦ Ranked among Orioles minor leaguers in wins (T-3rd, 9), strikeouts (T-7th, 122) and innings pitched (T-8th, 113.2). His nine wins at Bowie ranked second on the club.
♦ Entered year ranked as the #9 prospect in the O's system by MLB.com & Baseball America.
♦ Opened the year on the Injured List due to an oblique injury. Made two starts with Frederick before joining bowie on 5/21.

♦ Registered 47 more strikeouts (114) than hits allowed (67) in 79.0 IP with the Quakes. Had six starts in which he struck out nine batters or more, including an 11-strikeout performance on 6/25 at Lake Elsinore. 
♦ Allowed three earned runs or less in 14 of his 16 starts with the Quakes.

♦ Ranked 3rd among California League relievers by striking out 11.11 batters per nine IP.
♦ Went 1-2 with a 4.47 ERA in 27 relief outings and 0-2 with a 7.06 ERA in six starts.
♦ Posted a 3.63 ERA over 19 games during the second half of the season.
♦ Pitched to a 2.81 ERA (12 ER, 38.1 IP) when appearing in the 7th inning or later. 


2016
♦ Posted a 2.27 ERA in 12 games (six GS) between Ogden & Great Lakes in his first pro year.
♦ Made first career start with Ogden on 7/3 at Orem.
♦ Posted a 3.86 ERA with 13 strikeouts in six starts with Ogden.
♦ Promoted to Class-A Great Lakes on 8/11, where he went 2-0 with a 0.59 ERA and 22 strikeouts in six relief outings for the Loons.

 

PERSONAL
♦ Acquired by Baltimore in a trade from the Los Angeles Dodgers, along with OF Yusniel Díaz, IF Rylan Bannon, RHP Zach Pop and IF Breyvic Valera, for IF Manny Machado, 7/18/18.
♦ Selected by the Dodgers in the 14th round of the 2016 draft out of UNLV. Had been drafted by San Diego in the 38th round of the 2015 draft but did not sign. 
♦ Became the first Israeli citizen to be chosen in the MLB draft. Pitched for Israel's National Team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic, and was named the Most Valuable Pitcher for Israel in 2014 and 2015 as he helped Israel qualify for the European Baseball Championship. He has dual Israeli-American citizenship, as his parents served in the Israel Defense Force. 
♦ Helped San Joaquin Delta (NJCAA) to a 41-7 record and a state runner-up finish in 2015, going 13-1 with a 2.00 ERA in 112.2 innings. Was named a Third Team All-American.
♦ Attended Lincoln High School in Stockton, CA. Other notable alumni include NFL wide receiver Brandin Cooks, LA Chargers President Dean Spanos and PGA golfer Ricky Barnes.
