2017: Spent the season with the Miami Marlins and saw most of his action with Triple-A New Orleans... Began the season with New Orleans before being promoted to Miami on 7/24... Led New Orleans in appearances (36) and games finished (14) before his promotion...  Made five relief appearances for the Marlins, striking out six and while walking eight on 4.2-innings... Tossed 1.2 scoreless innings in first major league appearance of 2017 on 7/25... Posted single-game high in strikeouts among Marlins relievers with five K's on 7/28 vs. CIN... Optioned back to New Orleans on 8/10, allowing just three earned runs over the final eight games Pitched the 8th inning of a combined no-hitter against the Iowa Cubs on 4/14 
2016: Made his major league debut with the Atlanta Braves on 4/12 at Washington, where he gave up a hit to the only batter he faced... Earned his first big league strikeout the next night after sitting down Bryce Harper in the 8th inning... Earned his first major league win later in the season after tossing 0.2 scoreless innings against Pittsburgh... Appeared in 50 games for the Braves before being traded to Miami for OF Anfernee Seymour and LHP Michael Mader... Came on in relief for Miami in 18 games where he had a 4.82 ERA (5 ER, 9.1 IP) with seven strikeouts and yielding five walks... Held LHH to a .200 AVG... Stranded 43 of 48 inherited runners; his 10.4% of inherited runners scored ranked him 2nd in the NL and 3rd in the MLB.
2015: Opened the season with Double-A Tennessee in the Cubs organization, where he came on in relief in three games before being promoted to Triple-A Iowa... Registered an 11.08 ERA (16 ER, 13.0 IP) in 12 relief appearances with Iowa before the Cubs released him on 5/29... Pitched eight games with Sugar Land in the Independent League before signing with the Braves (7/7)... Did not allow and earned run in a combined 17 appearances with Double-A Mississippi and Triple-A Gwinnett... Earned his only win on the year against Toledo on 8/17... Combined to hold LHH to a .154 AVG and struck out 12 of the last 29 batters he faced in 2015.
2014: Spent a full season in the Cubs system with Tennessee, where he appeared in 48 games (zero starts) and was named a Southern Leage Midseason All-Star... Led the team in appearances and ranked 2nd in the league in holds (14)... Started the year off strong after posting a 2-0 record with a 1.46 ERA (2 ER, 12.1 IP), while striking out 15 and walking two... Allowed just eight earned runs and struck out 35 in 20 appearances before the All-Star break... Earned a win on 4/27 after pitching 3.0 perfect innings in an outing against Huntsville... Yielded all hitters to a .202 AVG on the season and allowed just one home run... Did not allow a run in 32 of his 48 appearances

Originally drafted by the Red Sox in the 27th round of the 2008 MLB Draft (832nd overall) out of Ross S. Sterling High School (TX)... Was set to play baseball at the University of Texas before signing with the Red Sox... Was ranked 29th on the 2008 Baseball America's Top 100 Prospects list
