Selected in the 16th round of the 2016 first-year player draft…2012: Graduated from Junction City High School (Kan.)…2016: Attended Northwestern State University, where he set the school's single-season record with 35 stolen bases in 42 attempts (83.3 percent) and ranks third in school history with 75 steals…also led the team with 43 runs and recorded a career-high 27 RBI, earning All-Southland Conference Third-Team honors…led the Pioneer League with 36 stolen bases-10 more than anyone else-and ranked third among Royals farmhands in steals, despite playing in only 62 games.
