LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will open a brief four-game homestand over the Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, May 27 against the PCL defending champion, the El Paso Chihuahuas, Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, at Cashman Field at 7:05 p.m. The series will feature two matinee games on Sunday, May 28 and Tuesday, May 30 at 12:05 p.m. Game three of the series on Memorial Day (Monday, May 29), will begin at 7:05 p.m.
The 51s are playing a stretch of 19 out of 23 games on the road from May 19 - June 11. The next scheduled off day for the PCL is Wednesday, May 31.
The 51s, under first-year manager Pedro Lopez , are currently on an eight-game road trip against the American Conference that will conclude on Friday, May 26 in Round Rock, Texas against the Express, Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.

2017 CASHMAN FIELD ATTENDANCE: In 24 dates, Las Vegas' total is 142,973 for an average of 5,957. Las Vegas has recorded three sellouts: 9,872 for Star Wars Night/Fireworks on April 28 vs. Albuquerque; season-high crowd of 10,342 for the Smokers Strike Out 14th Annual School Day Game on May 3 vs. Tacoma; 9,559 for the Fireworks/Nevada Donor Network Donate Life Night on May 5 vs. Tacoma. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 plateau in "home" attendance in all 34 seasons (1983-2016). The all-time attendance total now stands at 11,452,701. The 51s organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada.
In celebration of "35 Seasons" as a member of the PCL, 1991 Las Vegas Stars Throwback Jersey Night, presented by Desert Radiology, will be featured in the opener of the four-game series on Saturday, May 27 against El Paso. The first 2,500 fans through the gates (open at 6 p.m.) will receive the Las Vegas Stars jersey.
"Smith'sValue Menu Monday" will be featured on Memorial Day (May 29) in game three of the series. Monday "home" games will feature a "Value Menu" for the ninth straight season! The 51s and Centerplate have teamed together for discounted food items on Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Peanuts, Cracker Jack and Pretzels for just $1.00 per item.
The 51s will broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on NBC Sports Radio AM 920 'THE GAME', which will carry live all 142 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.com. Russ Langer, the 10-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 18th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.
All 51s games (home & away) will also be broadcast on MiLB.TV via LV51.com.
Following the homestand, Las Vegas will embark on a season-long 11-game road trip beginning on Thursday, June 1 at Reno, Nevada against intrastate rival, the Aces, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The four-game series will conclude on Sunday, June 4. The 51s will then travel to Salt Lake City, Utah to face the Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, in a four-game series from Monday-Thursday, June 5-8. The final "leg" of the trip will be a three-game series in the Pacific Northwest against the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, from Friday-Sunday, June 9-11.
SILVER STATE DIAMOND CHALLENGE: In 2009, Las Vegas and Reno developed the Silver State Diamond Challenge and the "Silver Plate Trophy" to add to the excitement to the rivalry for the two PCL teams that represent the state of Nevada. Reno defeated Las Vegas, 3-games-to-1, in the 2015 PCL Conference Championship Series.
The 2017 campaign will mark the ninth season of the S.S.D.C.

Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the SCE Federal Credit Union Box Office at Cashman Field. The box office is open Monday-Friday (non-game days) from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com).
The individual game tickets for the 71-game home season are priced at $11.00 (reserved, $12.00-Day of Game); $14.00 (plaza, $15.00-Day of Game) and $16.00 (field, $17.00-Day of Game) & the blue dugout seats at $30.00 ($35-Day of Game). The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza, field and reserved seats throughout the season.
