66ers Slug Three Homers but Fall 13-10 to San Jose

San Jose CA- The Inland Empire 66ers matched a season-high with three homers but also in errors with four in a 13-10 loss at San Jose on Saturday. The Inland Empire fell to 52-61 on the season and 22-21 in the second half.
Inland Empire had four players with multi-hit games and each was impressive as both Jordan Serena and Brandon Sandoval had were 2-for-4 in the game and each hit their first homers of the season. Jared Walsh had a three-hit game and drew a walk. The University of Georgia product tagged his sixth homer of the season and both scored and drove in three runs. Keith Grieshaber notched his first four-hit game of the season with a pair of doubles and singles. It was the eighth four-hit performance of the year for the Sixers. Jahmai Jones had two stolen bases for Sixers. Inland Empire starter Joe Gatto (0-1) was charged with the loss in his Cal League debut allowing seven runs (three earned) on six hits with four walks and one K.
Jonah Arenado hit a two-run homer as part of a two-hit, two-walk, two-RBI, four run night for San Jose (51-62, 21-22). Dillon Dobson was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI while Ryan Howard, Matt Winn and Ronnie Jebavy pitched in two-hit nights. Matt Solter (4-0) was credited with the win with 2.2 innings out of the bullpen. Dylan Rheault tossed a perfect ninth for his league-best 19th save.
