Ironbirds Drop Game Two and the Series to the Lake Monsters 3-0

'Birds bats silent as they are shut down by the Lake Monsters for the second straight night

Aberdeen, MD: It was all Lake Monsters once again tonight. The IronBirds were only able to scratch across six hits as the Lake Monsters bullpen was excellent. The IronBirds drop to nine games below .500.BALK RALLY: The Lake Monsters got the first run of the night in different fashion than usual.

BALK RALLY: The Lake Monsters got the first run of the night in different fashion than usual. Cody Sedlock, tonight's IronBirds starter on rehab, balked home a run. it was the lead off man, Alfonso Rivas, who came in to score after he started the game off with a lead off walk. Sedlock would balk twice tonight. 
BRITO GETS THE JOB DONE: Devin Foyle started the 3rd inning off with a lead of single and ended up at third to set the table for Marcos Brito. Brito smacked a sacrifice fly to deep right field to score Foyle from third. Brito had himself a night with a single and a walk mixed in as well. 
OPPO TACO: Ryan O'Rourke came in relief off Cody Sedlock in the 4th and was treated unkindly by Vermont's right fielder, Nick Osborne. Osborne drove a first pitch fastball over the right field fence for his second home run of the season. It put the Lake Monsters ahead 3-0. 
VAUGHAN PUTS GAME ON ICE: In the 9th, the Lake Monsters added some isurance when Noah Vaughan drove in JJ Schwarz to put Vermont ahead 4-0. 
COTA STRONG OUTING: Clark Cota came in relief of Bryce Nightengale in the 3rd with runners at the corners and two outs. He was able to get out of the jam and went on to pitch 2.0 strong innings of relief. Cota getting out of the jam was the turning point in this nall game. 
JAVIER SHUTTING IT DOWN: Javier Echeverria was called upon in the 5th and he was briliant through three innings of work. He didn't allow a run to score, only gave up two hits and struck out a batter to keep the game at 3-0.
BIRD WATCHING:Milton Ramos had himself a nice night at the ball yard. He was 3-for-4 and raised his batting average to above .260. He was once again solid defensively at second as well. 
UP NEXT: The IronBirds and Lake Monsters finish the three game set tomorrow night. First pitch set for 7:05 for Star Wars night at the ballpark.
