IronBirds Fly Back in Time for Win

Norwich, C.T. - Sunday afternoon featured a game and a half between the IronBirds and the Connecticut Tigers. First, the two concluded a game from July 22nd with a 1-0 victory. Game two was a 5-4 nail biter that concluded an Aberdeen sweep.
GAME ONE
BACK TO THE FUTURE: Jean Carmona was not an oriole when game one was postponed in the third inning. He went back in time today with a one for three game.
ONE MONTH LATER: J.C. Escarra touched the plate for the IronBirds in fourth inning on Robert Neustrom's RBI double to make it 1-0.
FENTER FINISHES: Gray Fenter tossed the first three innings of game one in Aberdeen a month back, he continued the outing today with four more scoreless to complete a complete game shutout through seven innings.
GAME TWO
ARRE-GONE-DO: Bryndan Arredondo was the star in game two. With the bases loaded and two outs, he drilled a line drive grand slam to right to make it 4-0 IronBirds. It was just his second hit as a 'Bird, but came to bet the winner.
HALL INSURES IT: Adam Hall got two hits in game two to extend his hitting streak to ten games (plus the 7/22 game). He scored on a Jaylen Ferguson sacrifice fly to make it 5-0.
TIGERS CLAW AWAY: Connecticut piled up four hits and three runs in the 4th inning. A wild pitch scored Peter Meadows first. Two more came on RBIs from Alexis Garcia and Moises Nunez at the bottom of the Connceticut batting order.
MAGEE PLUS CONROY = WIN: Kevin Magee kept Connecticut at bay for the two innings he threw, setting up Ryan Conroy for a save. Conroy allowed Eric De La Rosa an RBI double to make it 5-4, then sealed the deal by striking out Nick Ames. He got his sixth save in six opportunites.
UP NEXT: Tomorrow the 'Birds will play up North. First pitch against the Vermont Lake Monsters is at 7:05 P.M.
