RENO, Nev.-RHP Zeke Spruill shined in his Triple-A debut, as the Aces avoided a sweep with a 5-1 victory over the Las Vegas 51's on Thursday night at Aces Ballpark.

Spruill did not give up an earned run, and surrendered only four hits through 5.2 innings of work. The 23-year-old, who was acquired from Atlanta in January as part of the seven-player trade that sent Justin Upton to the Braves, walked four batters and struck out one en route to his first win of the season.

At the dish for Reno, Matt Davidson and Brad Snyder each recorded a multi-hit game. Snyder went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, and five of Reno's 10 hits were for extra bases.

Reno's bullpen combined for 3.1 shutout innings of relief, surrendering just 4 hits. RHP Will Harris worked his way out of a bases loaded jam by striking out Jamie Hoffmann on three pitches to end the game.

RHP Collin McHugh was charged with his second loss of the season for Las Vegas. He gave up four runs-all earned-on seven hits through 5.0 innings.

Reno now travels to Tacoma for a four-game series against the Rainiers at Cheney Stadium. RHP Chase Anderson (1-3, 6.26 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while Tacoma will counter with LHP James Paxton (1-2, 6.00 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m. PT, and all of the action can be heard live on KPLY 630 AM.

The club returns to Aces Ballpark on Tuesday, for another eight-game homestand. Tickets are on sale for the next homestand, and all Aces home games, at RenoAces.com, by calling (775) 334-7000 or by visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.
