RENO, Nev. - The Reno Aces (21-14) evened the series with the New Orleans Baby Cakes in game two Friday night with a 9-4 victory at Greater Nevada Field. Jeremy Hazelbaker (3-for-5), who came up a triple short of the cycle, and Oswaldo Arcia (2-for-4) led the offensive charge with seven RBI combined as Reno collected their second 16-hit game in the month of May.

After a blank first two innings, action began in the third with the Baby Cakes sparking the first run of the contest on two hits in the top half. In the bottom half, the Aces responded immediately with a four-run bout initiated on a walk to Christian Walker, which led to Hazelbaker's go-ahead, full-count, two-run home run and three consecutive singles.
The scoring didn't stop there as the Aces matched a run with New Orleans in the fourth and added three more in the fifth on Arcia's (2-for-4) bases-loaded double to make it a 8-2 advantage.
New Orleans was able to plate a final two runs in the eighth off of reliever Erik Davis, after he allowed back-to-back extra base hits and a single, but minimized damage and left one on base after ending the inning with a strikeout.
Arcia completed the Aces scoring and marked his fifth four-RBI game in the bottom of the eighth with a towering home run to right field, setting the score to 9-4.
Eric Jokisch notched his second Aces win after tossing five innings while giving up two runs on five hits with three strikeouts. Reliever Kaleb Fleck followed Jokisch with two shutouts innings of work. Jimmie Sherfy closed out the ninth in three batters with two strikeouts.
