Aces host second homestand of 2013

RENO, Nev.-The Reno Aces return home Thursday night for the second homestand of the 2013 season, highlighted by giveaways, special appearances, fireworks, and discounts. First pitch for all games is scheduled for 6:35 p.m., except Sunday (1:05 p.m.) and Tuesday (11:35 a.m.). 

Thursday's series opener against the Fresno Grizzlies marks the first of two Coors Light Thirsty Thursdays™ presented by New West Distributing, ESPN Radio 94.5 FM and Reno News & Review of the homestand. Fans can enjoy $2 beer specials through the middle of the fifth inning. Fans can also enjoy Peanut-Free Baseball at the ballpark on Thursday.  Peanuts will not be allowed in the ballpark, and all concessions will exclude items featuring peanuts.

Friday's game is highlighted by Saint Mary's Fireworks Friday presented by KRNV News 4, with fireworks immediately following the game.

Saturday's game will feature one of the most popular giveaway items of the season, with 2,000 lucky fans receiving a fleece blanket. The Guys' Night Out promotion will make its 2013 premier Saturday, with a special appearance by Lindsay Yenter, a contestant on ABC's The Bachelor. Yenter, a University of Nevada graduate, will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game.

Sunday afternoon brings another Renown Children's Hospital Family Funday to Aces Ballpark, featuring Baseball Bingo. Aces Ballpark will also host the first Youth Baseball & Softball Day of the season.

The Las Vegas 51s come to town Monday, and fans can take advantage of half-price margaritas during Margarita Mondays presented by Alice @ 96.5.

Tuesday's 11:35 a.m. Education Day will give fans the opportunity to take advantage of 2-for-$22 Tuesday presented by KTVN Channel 2 News. Fans can purchase two general admission tickets, two hot dogs and two sodas for only $22. The 2-for-$22 ticket packages can be purchased by calling (775) 334-7000 or visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.

Bargain hunters can take advantage of another great deal on Wednesday with Dollar Wednesdays presented by KTVN Channel 2 News, featuring $1 ribs throughout the game.

The homestand will close on Thursday, May 2, with another Coors Light Thirsty Thursday™ presented by New West Distributing, ESPN Radio 94.5 FM and Reno News & Review.
