RENO, Nev.-Reno Aces infielder Chris Owings has been named the Arizona Diamondbacks Minor League player of the Month for April, the organization announced today.

The 21-year-old Owings made his Triple-A debut with Reno this season, hitting .342 (40-for-117) with seven doubles, two triples and two home runs in April. He currently leads all of baseball in hits (43), and leads the Pacific Coast League in games (27) and at bats (122).

Owings, who entered the season ranked the D-backs No. 7 Prospect by Baseball America, has registered a multi-hit game in 14-of-27 games this season, and has not collected a hit on only five occasions.

The Charleston, S.C. native was drafted by the D-backs in the supplemental first round of the 2009 draft. He combined to bat .290 between Double-A Mobile and Single-A Visalia last season.

RHP Archie Bradley, who began the season with Visalia and just earned a call-up to Mobile, was named the organization's Pitcher of the Month.

The Aces wrap up an eight-game homestand tonight, before heading to Tacoma for a four-game series. Reno returns to Aces Ballpark for another eight game homestand, from May 7-14.

Tickets are on sale for tonight's game, and all Aces home games, at RenoAces.com, by calling (775) 334-7000 or by visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.
