Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Reno, Nev.- The Reno Aces host the El Paso Chihuahuas on Opening Day, Thursday, April 3 at 6:35 p.m., and Manager Phil Nevin is making a bold guarantee.

Nevin, who was named the second manager in team history in November, is guaranteeing 60 degrees at first pitch on Opening Day. If the temperature falls short of 60 degrees, Nevin will buy all fans in attendance a ticket to a future game.

Fans will receive a voucher to turn in at the ticket office for one ticket of equal value for any date other than July 4, subject to availability.

"I'm really looking forward to heading back to Reno, and I hope the fans are looking forward to seeing us again," Nevin said. "If the weather isn't great, I'll make sure everyone gets their money's worth."

The Aces kick off the 2014 season at home on April 3 by hosting the El Paso Chihuahuas, the newest Pacific Coast League franchise. First pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m. Discounted full and partial season tickets are on sale now. For more information, and to purchase an Aces ticket plan, call (775) 334-4700.
