TACOMA, Wash.-The Reno Aces lost a back-and-forth affair to the Tacoma Rainiers on Sunday afternoon, as the club fell 6-5 in game three of the series at Cheney Stadium.

After the Rainiers jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first, the Aces pushed across a run on three different plays in the top of the third to briefly tie the game. Reno had some bad luck in the fourth and fifth innings, as the sun made things difficult for Aces outfielders. A triple in each inning, due to balls that fell in the outfield, each led to a run for Tacoma, giving the club a final 6-5 edge.

At the dish for Reno, Taylor Harbin went 2-for3 with an RBI and two runs scored. D-backs outfielder Adam Eaton, in his third game of a Major League Rehabilitation stint with Reno, went 0-for-4 with a strikeout and an RBI.

LHP Tyler Skaggs, the D-backs No. 1 prospect, was charge d with his first road loss of the season. The 21-year-old gave up six runs-all earned-on six hits through five innings, while striking out eight. RHP Warner Madrigal threw two perfect innings of relief for Reno, striking out five of the six batters he faced, and RHP Garrett Mock threw a perfect eighth inning for the Aces.

LHP Jimmy Gillheeney earned his second-straight win of the season for his effort. He gave up five runs-four earned-on six hits through six innings, while striking out five. Rainiers closer Danny Farquhar was credited with his fifth save of the season, and second of the series.

The series wraps up Monday morning at Cheney Stadium, as the Aces look to split the series. RHP Randall Delgado (0-3, 9.62 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while Tacoma will counter with RHP Andrew Carraway (3-1, 3.31 ERA). First pitch is set for 11:30 a.m. PT, and all of the action can be heard live on KPLY 630 AM.
