Aeros Hosting "Dream Day" Makeup Date Tuesday at Canal Park

August 19, 2013

(AKRON, OHIO) August 19, 2013 - Members of local schools and Akron Children's Hospital will participate in "Dream Day" at Canal Park on Tuesday, August 20 from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants will have a chance to show off their baseball skills while learning others on the big stage. The event was originally scheduled for August 8, but due to the field being unavailable they were unable to complete all of the scheduled activities.

"Baseball is about spreading smiles and joy and the chance to see everyone live his or her baseball dream makes this one of the highlights of our season. We wanted to make sure the Dream Day participants had a chance to have the full experience in a great baseball stadium such as Canal Park," said Akron Aeros General Manager Jim Pfander.

The Dream Day event is open to the media. Credentialed media are welcome to attend and can enter Canal Park at the administrative office entrance at 300 S. Main St., Akron, Ohio 44308. Contact Sierra Sawtelle with the Aeros at [email protected] with any questions.
