Summary
Reading's 23-year-old right-hander Felix Paulino tossed six shutout innings, and Adam Hasely stroked a key RBI single, as the Fightin Phils completed a three-game sweep with a 2-0 win over the Akron RubberDucks Thursday night at Canal Park in Akron, Ohio.

Turning Point
The Fightin Phils (55-60) scored both runs in the third inning against Kyle Dowdy (3-6). Deivi Grullon led off with a double and advanced to third on a long fly out to right by Drew Stankiewicz. After a walk to Heiker Meneses put runners on the corners, Haseley cracked an RBI single to right to score Grullon. Damek Tomscha followed suit two batters later, chipping in an RBI single of his own, to make it 2-0.
Mound Presence
Dowdy (3-6) was excellent, despite suffering his second loss in a Ducks uniform. He lasted seven innings and allowed just the two runs in the third. He walked two and struck out six. Lefty David Speer (1.1 IP) and right-hander Jordan Milbrath (0.2 IP) provided scoreless relief.
Duck Tales
The RubberDucks (66-50) churned out six hits, but couldn't mount a series threat against Reading starter Felix Paulino (2-0) or the Fightin Phils relief corps. Paulino scattered five hits and fanned three while walking only one. Seth MCGarry followed Paulino and threw two shutout innings, and Jeff Singer worked the ninth claim his 10^th save and complete the whitewash. Nellie Rodríguez led the Ducks with a pair of singles.
