Summary
The Akron RubberDucks used a four-run eighth to knock off the visiting Bowie Baysox in a 10-7 slugfest on Saturday night at Canal Park.

Turning Point
In a back-and-forth affair that saw the RubberDucks trail the Baysox 7-6 coming into the eighth, an error from the Bowie second baseman on a Connor Marabell ground ball brought home two runs for Akron, who would add two insurance runs later in the inning en route to the 10-7 victory.
Mound Presence
Adam Scott saw his run of three-straight scoreless performances come to an end early when the Baysox jumped out to a lead in the first on a Yusniel Díaz RBI double. He set down Bowie in order in the second and worked around a leadoff double in the third, but the Baysox got to him again in the fourth when Martin Cervenka hit a three-run homer to left to take a 4-1 lead. Scott exited the game in the sixth with two men on base, one of which would come home to score. After Akron took a 6-5 lead, Bowie would take the advantage right back off of Yapson Gomez in the seventh on a two-run triple from Rylan Bannon. Gomez pitched a scoreless eighth, then Anthony Gose and Dalbert Siri combined to close out the ninth.
Duck Tales
Both of Akron's early runs off Bowie starter Dean Kremer came via the sacrifice fly; in the second, Mitch Longo 's leadoff double paid off when Andruw Monasterio hit a sac fly to center, and Logan Ice hit one of his own in the fourth to bring home Tyler Krieger . After the Baysox went to the bullpen early, Akron wasted no time jumping on the Bowie relievers after Connor Marabell's RBI double plated Nolan Jones to trim the Baysox' lead to 4-3. Bowie got an insurance run in the sixth, but the RubberDucks took their first lead of the game as Trenton Brooks blasted a three-run home run to right field to make the score 6-5 Akron. After the Baysox again grabbed the lead, the Ducks would take it for good in the eighth with a four-run inning that included a two-run error on a Connor Marabell ground ball.
Notebook
