Summerlin, NV – The Isotopes led 8-0 but Las Vegas plated nine unanswered runs to take game six 9-8 and hand Albuquerque its second-largest blown led in team history Sunday night at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Las Vegas won the series, 4-2.

Offensively, the Isotopes posted 13 hits, three doubles and two homers. L.J. Hatch led the way with a three-hit performance with two RBI. D.J. Peterson and Coco Montes each had two hits. Sam Hilliard and Hatch recorded the two homers.

The Isotopes took a 4-0 lead in the top of the second. Hilliard got the scoring going with a leadoff homer, his third of the year. A wild pitch plating Trejo, who singled earlier in the inning, RBI single by Peterson and RBI groundout by Wynton Bernard capped the scoring.

In the fourth frame, Albuquerque combusted for four more runs on a Hatch two-run clout and Montes two-run double, giving the away team an 8-0 advantage. But the Aviators got on the board with a four-spot of their own in the fifth to cut the Isotopes lead in half, 8-4.

Las Vegas scored five more in the eighth inning to erase the deficit and take a 9-8 lead.

Ashton Goudeau did not factor into the decision after allowing four runs over 4.2 innings. He had thrown a shutout through four innings. Justin Lawrence allowed four runs, three earned, while Chad Smith took the loss and his first blown save of the year.

Topes Scope: - The eight-run blown lead is the second-largest allowed by the Isotopes in team history: September 1, 2010, vs. Iowa, 9 (12-3). Albuquerque went on to lose 15-13.

-In the top of the second inning, Hilliard blasted the 51st home run in the month of June—tying the record for most in one month (August 2007 and April 2019). Two innings later, Hatch’s two-run clout set a new team-standard with 52 homers in a month.

-Albuquerque has a 2-6-5 series record and 0-5-2 on the road.

-The Isotopes are now 7-6 in series finales and 3-4 on the road.

-The 47 runs scored are the fourth-most runs scored in a series this year.

-It is just the second time the Isotopes have lost after leading at the end of the seventh frame (30-2) and first loss on the road (12-1).

-It is just the fifth time the Isotopes have lost after out hitting their opponent (29-5) and third loss on the road (12-3).

-Hatch blasted his third homer in his last eight games and 27 at-bats. He also collected his eighth multi-effort of the year and second three-hit game (April 28 vs. Sacramento).

-Bernard stole his 16th bag of the year. He has only been caught once this year and three times since last year (38-for-41).

-Montes has three-straight multi-hit efforts. Is 8-for-14 (.571) with four runs and seven RBI during stretch.

-Peterson collected his eighth multi-hit game of the season, his second in his last three contests.

-Goudeau has relented at least four runs in each of his last four appearances.

On Deck: After a day-off, the Isotopes will begin a six-game series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (affiliate of the Houston Astros) Tuesday at 6:35 pm at Isotopes Park.
