Isotopes Take Second in a Row from River Cats

Albuquerque starter David Holmberg registered his third quality start of the season, tossing 6.0 innings while allowing one run. The southpaw struck out six and walked none.
Isotopes relievers Carlos Estévez, Brooks Pounders and Scott McGough combined to allow one run over the contest's final three innings. As a group, the Albuquerque staff did not issue a walk on the evening.
At the plate, six of the eight Isotopes starting position players registered a hit.
Raimel Tapia connected on the games only home run of the game, a two-run shot in the second inning. He finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
In his first affiliated start at second base, Stephen Cardullo had plenty of opportunities to make plays. The 30-year-old also went 2-for-3 with a triple.
The Isotopes look for the series win on Sunday when they wrap up their series with the River Cats. Jeff Hoffman will get the nod in the final Mariachis game of the 2018 season. First pitch from "the Plaza" is set for 6:05 p.m.
