Salt Lake City, UT – Colorado Rockies players on Major League rehabilitation assignments were the headline on Tuesday night in Salt Lake City.

2016 National League MVP and four-time All-Star Kris Bryant went 1-for-3 while playing seven innings in his first rehab game, while right-handed pitcher Peter Lambert started and allowed a run in one inning. The Isotopes (16-21) fell 3-1 to the Bees (20-17) to open a six-game series at Smith’s Ballpark.

Lambert fanned a pair in his frame but also allowed a pair of singles and a walk. Kean Wong’s RBI knock put Salt Lake ahead to stay.

Right-hander Riley Smith followed Lambert on the mound and was sharp in his second appearance for Albuquerque, allowing five hits and two runs with six strikeouts in five innings.

Albuquerque was held to four hits in the game, two coming in the sixth inning. Tim Lopes led off the frame with his third homer of the year before Bryant immediately followed with a single, his only hit of the night. Coco Montes and Ryan Vilade each registered a single for the other knocks.
