The Isotopes (44-46) threatened in the ninth, but the 51s (43-48) held on for a 5-4 win as Las Vegas took game one of the four-game series against Albuquerque. With the loss, the Isotopes have now dropped four games in a row.

Down 3-0 in the sixth inning, the Isotopes rallied in the frame to plate four runs, highlighted by Ryan McMahon's two-run home run. It was the seventh round-tripper of the season for McMahon.
Las Vegas tied the game in the bottom of the sixth after Albuquerque defenders committed three errors on one play, resulting in a "Little League home run."
The 51s ultimately won the game after Peter Alonso connected on a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Brooks Pounders took the loss after allowing the aforementioned home run. The right-hander falls to 0-1 on the season.
Isotopes starter Brett Oberholtzer allowed three runs over his 5.0 innings on the hill. The southpaw struck out four and walked one.
The Isotopes and 51s are back in action on Friday from Cashman Field. First pitch from Las Vegas is set for 8:05 p.m.
