Albuquerque's 10-run output in the ninth marks the second time in six games the Isotopes have scored 10 runs in an inning, accomplishing the feat on May 20 vs. Reno. The Isotopes all-time record for runs in an inning is 11, set five separate times in the team's history.
The Isotopes sent 14 batters to the plate in the ninth, a half inning that took over 30 minutes to complete. Garrett Hampson highlighted the frame with a three-run home run, the first of his Triple-A career.
On the mound, Isotopes starter Brett Oberholtzer spun a gem despite coming away with an no-decision. The southpaw did not allow a run over his 6.0 innings of work, striking out six and walking one.
The Isotopes and River Cats continue their five-game series on Saturday evening from Raley Field. Giants ace Madison Bumgarner is scheduled to make the start against Albuquerque as part of a rehab assignment. First pitch from Raley Field is set for 8:05 p.m.
