Former Pirates outfielder heading to Curve, PA to meet with fans, sign autographs

CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve have rescheduled the appearance by three-time National League All-Star Andy Van Slyke, presented by Peoples, to Thursday, May 17 at Peoples Natural Gas Field, the club announced on Saturday.

Fans who purchased tickets for the originally-scheduled date of Tuesday, April 10 will be able to use their tickets for Tuesday's game as well as the day of Van Slyke's appearance on May 17. The ticket stubs for Tuesday's game can be redeemed for tickets to the game on May 17 at the PNG Field box office or at the Stuckey Quick Lane Ticket Kiosk inside the ballpark for a ticket of equal or lesser value (based on availability).
Van Slyke is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch during his stop at PNG Field, and he will meet with fans and sign autographs after the start of the game on the Budweiser Party Deck in the left-field area of the stadium.
The ballpark gates on May 17 will open at 5 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. as the Curve face the Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Fans are encouraged to arrive early.
