The Curve (35-32) have lost three straight games on the trip after falling in the series opener to the SeaWolves (32-39). The start of the game was delayed for an hour and 14 minutes due to wet grounds.

Erie brought 11 batters to the plate during an eight-run outburst in the sixth, the most runs allowed by the Curve in a single inning this season.
Facing reliever
Scioneaux matched a career high with five runs allowed and recorded just one out in his outing. Garcia allowed three runs of his own in the sixth before settling in to retire the final seven batters he faced in order.
The Curve broke the shutout in the eighth.
