Richmond, VA (September 12, 2026) – The Chesapeake Baysox, the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and the Richmond Flying Squirrels, the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, saw their scheduled Saturday night contest canceled due to rain.
The game will not be made up. The cancelation clinched the Baysox a series win in their final series of the 2026 campaign, with Chesapeake already taking three of the now five scheduled contests on the week. The Baysox have won four series on the road in the second half of the season and are tied for the second-most road wins in Minor League Baseball (21) since the Double-A records reset on June 23.
The Baysox wrap up the 2026 season in Richmond on Sunday afternoon. Left-hander Sebastian Gongora (9-6, 3.62 ERA) is projected to get the ball for Chesapeake. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 pm from CarMax Park.
